AF Paste

AF Paste, a proprietary blend of H.P.V.O (High Performance Vegetable Oil) and aqueous surfactants, is specially designed for use in fresh and saltwater fluids. In low-solids drilling fluids it is used as a wetting agent to improve the rate of penetration by wetting cutter edges being diamond or related cutters. Reduces torque, drag and the potential for differential sticking by reducing the coefficient friction of water-base muds. AF Paste will provide additional well bore stability by penetrating the formation while forming a lubrication lair. AF Paste will also provide inhibition, reduce bit-balling and improve high-temperature filtration control. AF Paste is used as a borehole stabilizer to prevent reactive shale and clay from swelling and sloughing.
