CLAYCUTTER

Claycutter

A Clay Cutter bit is mostly used in soft formations such as dry or damp clay and very soft rock formations. Clay Cutters can be used during the drilling of water wells, exploration drilling, geothermal drilling, and most drilling done for mining, for the portion of the hole that consists of such formation.

The center-faced flushing of the Clay Cutter provides maximized pick-cleaning, contributing to increased penetration rate and service life of the bit. Clay Cutters are not ideal for use in dry loose sand, coarse gravel, or hard rock formations.
